A note from Founder, Alisa Langer:
To those who know me personally and professionally, it will come as no surprise I chose March 8th, International Women’s Day, to be the founding day of Spirited Media. We’re a female-owned creative communication collective working with brands to connect with their audiences on a deeper level.
When reflecting on why I started Spirited Media, it was easy to identify that it was for a deeper sense of connection and purpose. I’ve always had a natural gravitational pull towards people and sought out voices of those who expand my perspective. My genuine love for people has surfaced an ability to empathize and understand individuals that I believe catapulted me into this next chapter of my life.
By starting Spirited Media, I opened a door for myself to work with like minded individuals with a vision. Spirited Media represents my love for connecting and colliding different worlds with one another. Every part of my job requires me to form and develop relationships, either on behalf of our clients or for Spirited Media’s circle. Whether it’s working with a podcast or influencer and connecting them with a brand they may not have known about, or introducing our clients to journalists, investors, and distributors, we can’t help ourselves but almost take on the role of a Yenta (matchmaker) or personal hype woman.
Internally, as we continue to expand and build our team, it’s important that we continue to create an environment that fosters individual growth. There are no limits to what this collective can do and our team is excited to bring that energy into year two.
Starting a company is not for the faint of heart – there are so many aspects to building this community, but to me it comes down to three things: connection, purpose, and emotion. All three of these things are what make Spirited Media different. We’re in it for the long haul with our clients. We celebrate the wins and embody the brand. We connect clients with a larger community while highlighting their purpose to the industry.
At the end of the day it all comes down to surrounding yourself with those who have a similar purpose. Sam Richards, my business partner and confidant, was driven by the same purpose and I knew right away she was the right person to start this venture with. It’s officially been a year. We haven’t looked back and are looking forward to what’s next.
